Preschool Program – Blue Room and Red Room

The Blue and Red Rooms are each licensed for 17 children 31 months to the first day of Kindergarten.

Our preschool program focuses on the development of the whole child – physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Our structured preschool curriculum focuses on letter recognition, math skills, writing, reading, and social skills through small and large group interactions.  The classroom environment is set up in learning centers including books, dramatic play, puzzles, art, sensory, and manipulatives. Children will also experience large muscle work through our outside play area.

Kids Avenue’s preschool program goal is to prepare your child for their transition to Kindergarten. Our program focuses on all the pre-skills needed before entering Kindergarten using the Houghton Mifflin Pre-K Curriculum.

During the year you will have 2 conferences. They will be scheduled in the fall and the spring of each year. You will be given a developmental progress report and an opportunity to discuss your child’s strengths and areas to improve.
